caught at a no-name pond in the Ocala National Forest. Used a lucky craft crank bait in chartruse shad. Caught in windy conditions, about 20 feet from the grass line with a cold front moving in on top of a 2nd cold front. Took the pics and had to wade out to deeper water to release her because of too many/thick weeds in VERY shallow COLD water. I tried reviving her for 20-30 minutes in cold water and she still wanted to float. When I did release her, she was capable of clamping down on my thumb fairly hard......numerous times. Not sure if she made it or not and its made me a bit upset that I didn't get the clean release i hoped for. They say the fish can stay out of the water longer when its cold.......I hope it stands true cause I'm pretty upset for catching a 10 lbs bass.

2 largemouth today on senkos in the canal behind my house.
It has produced better this tournament then I can ever remember. I fish more of the canal now, in a few of my neighbor's backyards, but still it has been producing a lot of 1 to 1.5 pounders.

I hope your bass made it. I had a similar thing with a nice peacock about two months ago. That is a huge fish!

RR,

Awesome Hawg, congrats on that catch. Really gets the heart going doesn't it. I'm guessing the fish made it, you did what you could, and more than most folks would've done, congrats again.

10 largemouth today:
9 on senkos (some topwater)
1 on rapala

The biggest fish was 1 pound 14 ounces.

I lost some fish today. For some reason the hook didn't come through the plastic when I hooked fish on some of the longer casts.

I caught the last fish of the day while trying to take out my camara to take this photo....

I left a few feet of line out. I put the rod between my legs and didn't notice that the worm was in the water. A few seconds later, before I could get out my camara, I felt a tug of the rod, and it was a small largemouth.
