I am sorry if my questions are bothering you, but I was just checking the rules. I have had two fish judged less than I thought they should be (especially the 16 incher). I know that they are not big fish and will be replaced, but I wanted to know what I was doing wrong. I know that the judges opinion is what counts, so I wanted to understand how to measure the fish from your point of view. Thank you for explaining it to me.

Nice Fish Bateman, that will put you in 2nd place for the slam category!

Also I would like to throw this idea out there: Any catfish can be substitued for the crappie.
Give me y'alls opinion on this!

No I'm not in the tourney, but this will pretty much eliminate any crappie, as the catfish will have a lot longer length. Just my opinion, but you should leave it as you started it.

The other day I got a peacock on fly and a carp on spin.

It weighed about 18 pounds.

I had a decent day today.
I got: 1 largemouth on spin
2 peacock on fly
2 peacock on spin

2 pound 14 ounce peacock - 16 1/4 inches.

2 pound 8 ounce largemouth

2 pound 8 ounce peacock on 4-weight

Another largemouth I got.

Default Capt Jim missed this one!

Went out after work today in my kayak and soon saw Capt Jim launching with his dad. We fished near each other for a while, then I moved shallow. Just after I saw them pull out, I got this 23 incher!
BTW I'm against substituting catfish for crappie.

True, but not everyone has access to giant channel cats that will be two to three times as big as the bass weighed in.
BTW some crappie will be entered tomorrow!
