Default Snake in my yard!!!!

Here is a picture of the snake I found on my property. It was around 3 1/2 feet long.

And yes this is a picture of me holding its tail.

I had to put it back in the swamp behind my house so it can kill and eat the water moccasins.

Snake!!!!

I hate those things. They are everywhere down here right now too. Now I know alot of ya'll on here wont like me for saying this, but yes I kill everyone I come across in my yard. Ive been bittin by a moccasin before, worst pain you will ever feel. Also, with little sisters and dogs running around all day in the backyard, dont want one of them to get bit.

not the biggest fan of them either. Although there was an older gentleman that once told me that small snakes are great bass bait... anybody ever try that?

The main problem I see is casting. I would imagine the hook would move and the snake would react to it once you sent him for a ride. Also, once casted the snake would try to swim for cover and likely get you tangled up in the weeds and that is where the bass are. I haven't tried it, but if I catch a small snake, I will definitely try it (at least once).

I haven't seen or had a chance to catch the small water snakes or grass snakes around my house. I only have seen king snakes and water moccasins. The moccasins get shot. The king snakes get relocated to another area of my yard.

Yes they do and I have them. They are a bit heavy and difficult to cast. I have yet to produce a fish on them, mainly because I don't like to fish topwater that much.

When i worked the mine. My boss was always playing jokes. Like spot welding the doors on a company work truck that i used. Well after a week of this & getting tired of grinding the doors open. I gathered up 4 ft black snake that i found along the river. Man this thing was good & mean. Well that night i threw it in his work truck. When he came in the next morning i guess it crawled under the seat. I guess he drove around all shift. As he stepped out of the truck going to his personal car it bit him in the leg. I just laughed my balls off. He said did you do this i said yep. After that i got more practical jokes from him.

I love having a snake. My snake is very nice too. He's never bit anyone.... yet...

I don't mind this, but I know some people don't like to watch them eat "cute widdle mice"

two of mine are too dern big for just mice. -they eats rabbits- nice lil python though. if you think of buying an "articulated" python don't!!! stick with the "ball" the arties are a mean lil beast-yeah lil like my 10 footer- my 25 year old ball python -moses- is much more laid back. though at 14+ feet and 100+ pounds you can be as laid back as you want to be..

lil story about a snake in the grass. about 10 years ago my mom calls "there is a HUGE silver snake in the yard" i get there walk up to the snake and instantly back pedaled to the truck.it was a 53" albino timber rattler i had him mounted after he died i am crazy not stupid..

I guess you can be pretty laid back when you're that big. Good to know about the snakes too, although if I got another something I'd get some type of lizard.
