If you want a reel for saltwater I would suggest a Daiwa Coastal Inshore reel. You can get them for $120.00 which is about what the Nitro's cost if I remember right. You can use the Nitro in saltwater but you need to make sure that you rinse it off with freshwater after every outing. If you don't the salt will eat your bearings and gears.

I just looked at one tonight at our new Bass Pro Shops in Rossford. For the price ($120) it seemed kind of cheap to me. The spool was very small around. I liked the feel of the Rick Clunn reels, along with the Johnny Morris Reels.

Not meaning to steal your thread here but... has anyone tried the BPS Extreme Casting Reels? They have them on sale for $59.99, and was thinking of trying one.

rrw, I have a Johnny Morris Signature reel and I really like the dual brake system on it, but it does not seem to be very smooth while reeling, especially while burning.
