Default the old is new again

i took my 71 terry bass boat out today. seeing i was going all vintage, i got out the pfluger rod and reels added a spinning reel/rod set up. to complete a 5 rod assault pack..

i caught several bass on a mad dad, caught one short fish on a big o, caught 2 bass on an 6" jelly worm..

i learned that when using a non-spool released casting reel that normal thumb useage will get your knuckles busted..

I've never tried to cast one of those oldies, but they sure look like the handle could hurt you.

Love it Zook!!! I love every thing that you said & Did. I always bring and Old is new mentality to fishing. Wethor itz using my old Pico's Or breaking out the OLD UL 4000 spinning reel. I think it makes you a better fishermen. Allot of Bass babies that get caught on on weight & presentation don't realize that certain techniques there using are old. Like the WACKY Rig that seams to have made a comeback. Plus there generation take credit for being Orignal. How is somthing so old there's.

Ok letīs see ....... dropshotting ? that ainīt new, we used to call it hook above sinker rig , shakey head rig ? excuse me, is that "new" too ? , been Texas rigging worms on a jighead since the 70īs ( 1970 Ok ? not 1870, 1770 nor 1670 ), wacky worming ? hey that ainīt new either ! , ainīt how you supposed to hook a night crawler ?

Crap, I am getting old !

Whether you want to call it 'old' or 'new', I personally just want to land or boat some fish and have fun doing it. If it ceases to remain fun, then I am quitting and finding another leisure hobby.

love it zooker. kinda like the front stick steer. heard it is easier to load and put in at the docks. one guy that had one a few years back down in mobile said he'd never use any other kind. looks great for an "old" boat.

I love it Zook if you come down in March. You can leave it here if yeah want. My suggestion on the photo's is get one of your latin girlfiends in a thong. That would make that good lookin boat even better. Nice rig!!! You should gather up some antique tackle & Rods & Reels. That would make a great day at the lake.
