Default My Gatlinburg , TN vacation

Ok , so I got a cabin right on the Little Pigeon River. I fished a few times , and caught not a dam thing , the whole time I was there. However , I did witness some rather good fisherman pull out 7 keeper trout right where I just fished . I have no idea what they were using , but they all had spinning reels. Anyway ,I had a great time with my family , and I think I may try again next year.... O yeah , those dam rocks are slippery , and if you go into the river to fish that crystal clear water , take your wallet out first

oh morg......wish i knew you were gonna be there pal. you could've called me. we LOVE it there. it is a wonderful place to go. what were you using for the rainbows? if it still works like it did when i last fished it, next time try corn. the kind that comes in the can for real. take out a kernal, hook it on a small hook, throw it out there. i realy wish i knew you were going beforehand, i would've told you about it. also there is a place there (i forget where excatly) that has a trout farm, you pay by the pound. fish it and after you catch one that you want to take, so much per pound. check into it before your next trip ok?
and yes the rocks are slippery ain't they? hhaha, when lisa and i got married, we went to gatlinburg for our honeymoon. she had never been to the smokies. anyway, i have pictures of her walking barefoot in the creeks. she still talks about how cold the water was and still is, even in august it is cold. our first trip was in late october. air temps were in the 80's water was in the 40's.

Yes , it was a lesson learned. I wish id know that too bama... I did post about it a month or so ago , everyone told me to try to fly fish , I did try , with topwater popers and flies , technique wise ok , but no fish. Then I tried just worms , and the red salmon eggs.. nothing. I am already planning another trip , for next year. I will have to let ya know about that. I didnt just fish , I actually did more of everything else than fish.
