Default Another golf course bass

Went to the golf course a couple nights ago. It was late and only got an hour or so to fish before dark. Took Jake with me to see if he could catch a big one. Well it was a tough night. Jake got 2 bites and lost them both at the bank. I got 2 bites and had a 4 lber destroy my spinnerbait and come off. Then right at dark I caught one on another spinnerbait that weighed 6.0 lbs. Jake took the picture for me and the fish was released. We might go back again this weekend. We are going to work on putting food plots in a couple of the fairways for deer season!!!

Man...that fish just might be the most healthy looking beast I've ever seen. Not all gut, but thick and muscular. And the fins and stuff are in good shape too. Great fish!

You guys are funny! The golf course has been shut down since January. My brother's, wife's Uncle is part owner so that's how we get to fish it. We are going to hunt the place soon. Place is crawling with Geese and the resident season opens Sept. 1st. We are bushhogging some of the fairways but it's a lot of work. We are going to plant food plot in a couple of them for the deer. It's a hunter's and fisherman's paradise there! There are about 8 ponds on the property and they are loaded with big fish. The ponds are loaded with gizzard shad and the bass are real fat and healthy there. I'm real lucky cause it's an awesome place to fish and catch big bass!

and yes... I might be a redneck!!!

Here is the other 6 lber I caught there in the Spring. She was a toad!

Nice catch eric wtg! our only golf course lake is tied into a creek and one half is on the golf course, the other is on city property, needless to say it stays fished out most of the time by locals and kids. Those are super nice bass BA

Donald,

Your from South Carolina right? Y'all are some Rebel Flag flying fools! I know you ain't talking about Rednecks!!!

Bama,

You want to come out to VA and catch bass full of golf balls your more than welcome pal! However I'm not sure how long it will last. A company is coming in and filling the ponds and creating more wetlands for credits. When they start doing that we are going to take all the big bass out of the ponds and transport them to other ponds we can fish and release them. We are not wasting those awesome bass!

BassBoss,

We catch a lot of fish in the 3-5 lb range. I went one day for just an hour or so and caught 3 bass in about 20 cast. One was 5.2, another 5.7, and the other was 3.7. Here are pictures of the to 5 lber. I was by myself so this was the best I could do with the pics. Believe it or not... we don't catch many bass under 2 lbs there.
