Cabin Fever
Got it bad. All this snow, staying home surfing the net, BPS, Tacklewarehouse, Ebay and any other fishing sites. OH NO here comes the BAITMONKEY thru my window. Gander Mountain here we come, I can't stand it, snow or no snow, me and the monkey going shopping.

Its times like this that make questions such at this seem important
1. If sour cream is already sour , why do they put dates on it? 2. Why do men have Nipples? 3. Did you ever put your boxers on backwards and then have to pee in a hurry? |

I've been outside twice in the last two days. Both times to shovel snow. Got the truck cleaned off well enough that the sunshine tomorrow will melt the rest of the snow. Got to clear a little more space in the driveway tomorrow but other than that I've got nothing to do and no place to go......which isn't a bad thing.
Monkey got on my back this afternoon too. Luckily it got shaken loose. I'm expecting a repeated attack tomorrow. |

Well my trip to Gander Mountain netted me a pair of boots and no fishing stuff. Did check out the Skeet Reese rods and they seem like nice rods, light and balanced good ( w/o reel ) for $99.98, Simmons on Ebay has them for $89.98 w/no shipping charges.

Maybe, 3 or 4 of us at work have been talking about it. What's the dates and is it still at the race track?

Jan 15-17 and yes at the track.
Got out of the house and went for a trip to the dump to dump some trash and get some shopping done. Came home to find street finally plowed and my driveway blocked !!! And they left a 3" sheet of ice on the road. Spent an hour or more clearing more snow. And the Monkey got me too! |

As long as the water's not frozen, GO FISH!!! It's just a wee bit of snow.

Wish it was that easy. Boat is covered in snow and at the back of a long driveway. Too much work to clear as I'd spend most of the day just shoveling. I'll wait until the sun does it's job or until it rains and takes care of most of it.

I've still been going fishing about once every 2 weeks, but I still find myself perusing the BPS websites and catalogs, looking for good deals on Ebay and stuff like that. Now I gotta figure out what to spend all my Christmas money on. I'm super glad all the snow we've gotten so far has just been flurries.

I can't answer question 1, and never had to deal with number 3. But, I do have the answer to number 2. God gave man nipples to hang our jigs and spinnerbaits on to dry out before putting them back into the tackle box. That was an easy one, dontcha think?

I suffer terribly from cabin fever. It's going to be a loooooooooong winter if I don't find some way to get out and fish. Where I'm from, we don't really have lakes that ice over, so I'm a complete neophyte when it comes to ice fishing. I'm willin' to learn though...

There's plenty of iced over lakes here, but I haven't ice fished since I was a kid. I always threaten to take it up again but being a roofer, I prefer to spend my free winter time indoors. One of these days though, I'll probably pop for a shanty and do it. Or move

I've got it bad, too. I just can't get into the whole ice fishing thing, so I'm counting down the days until ice out when the panfishing season begins.

I'm with ya there. Even if I did take up ice fishing, I just can't see it even coming close to real fishing. I guess it would help pass the time though
