Default today with the kids

Hit a small lake with the kids and one of their friends and his father , neither of which really fish much or had any idea what they where doing . So I did the only thing I could think to get them started and gave them each a swimbait and let them have at it . All the boys caught multiple bass with a couple pickerel tossed into the mix and I got 6 for my self . Broke a long fishless streak on a certain bait as well , the ole lip less crankbait while I have thrown them a lot it has never caught fish for me before but that all changed this morning the fish was only 1.5lbs but it felt good to get that monkey off my back . I think we managed to hook the kids friend on bass fishing as well so all in all a good day .

Got to take my neices and nephews fishing this weekend, and there's nothing better than seeing the grin on the nephew's face or the grimace on the neices face when they catch their first fish of the day. Days like the one you had are priceless and it sounds like everyone had a blast.

yeah it was a good morning other than the kids getting a little muddy from trying to get to places they couldn't stand all went smooth and the mud washes right off anyhow so no harm no foul

Right on! Just had a dad and kids outing myself. Kudos to you for sharing the passion we have with others.
