I'm a shimano girl for spinning. I absolutely love my Spirex (I have 3) and I also have one Sahara.

pflueger does make a nice spinning reel, it was the first one i ever owned but it fell apart on me in about 4 months.....i still have it in my closet just for sentimental value i guess....i caught alot of fish on her...but the shimano's seem invincible these days....so in the long term as far as investments go ...you can't beat a shimano....
