fer some reason i know you would streak in the cold.. no zilla the southern cold is WAY differant than the cold you are used to..instead of the dry cold in the sub zero temps. we get a humid/damp cold with the temps in the low 20's being very miserable.you are forgetting zilla unlike the great white noth land where it stays cold months at a time. it was 70 friday and 21 saturday. this rate of change does not alow you to climate to it like it would if it was 20 for a month straight..

what did yall catch em on?how big were they?it looks like that is a good place to fish with a good supply of fat, healthy bass.that pond looks almost like the one i fish alot, but it doesnt have a dam in the middle and it has lots of under water weed beds.it also has alot of 10'' fish but i caught a 3.5lber 3 weeks ago.

Laser, i agree that "skeered" isn't in my vocabulary either...i'll go anytime anywhere....
JB, betursweetbass is my fishing partner, he has a girlfriend i am single and not attatched but we do love to fish together he's very special to me and has taught me everything i know as well as everything i'm going to learn...
skeeeter, we caught those on a texas rigged "sweet beaver" by trixi, my partner has pulled out of there as big as 5-6 pounds we lovingly refer to her as "big Momma"...but here lately we have been hooking nice 3-4 pounders every visit to that pond and she is located in houston texas of course....lol....we love that pond as well as fayetteville, huntsville, and summerville,...i'm so excited that winter is almost done and hoping big time that the lower lake levels come back up soon.....

She's the best fishin buddy I've ever had, and a very quick learner. I just wished she would let me catch the first fish once in a while.

that particular pond is off the 290 area, what pond are you talking about.....we fish together all the time....i've probably been there with him....we'll fish anywhere there's water that's for sure...and houston has an aquaduct system that is full of nice sized bass that's for sure....alot of the retention ponds on that system we fish all the time....you'd be surprised how many nice 3-6 pounders we've caught before.....
