well i have a tournament coming up saturday and so i have been trying to fill up a few boxes of jigs for myself inbetween other peoples jig orders. so our good buddy lunker lander order a handfull of jigs and i didn't have enough of a certain color to complete his order and do several of them for myself. i had ordered this color but wasn't sure when it would come in so today my wife and i made a special trip to springfield to a store that sells skirt material so i could pick up enough of this material to get me by until my shipment came in. well i never really even thought of dropping by bass pro but out of no where the bait monkey took over my truck and next thing we know we are parking infront of bass pro. i thought well i do need some trailers for a few of my jigs since they are in colors that are difficult to match with trailers (the only downfall of colors that aren't in stores is that sometimes you have to search a little for the perfect colored trailer). next thing i know he has my basket piled full of seaguar invizx, p-line, jig trailers of course, x-rap shads, senkos, hooks, and lucky craft jerkbaits. i mean i can understand him acting up if i were planning on going to bass pro in the first place but man he shows no mercy.

Don't forget about his cousin, the Trolling Motor Repair Gorilla, because the two gang tackled me yesterday. Got my trolling motor repaired for $350, it was in bad shape, and stopped into a brand new small tackle shop that has a lot of new, small company baits. Got out of there with some 10" worms and a couple of weights for punching grass for $10. Later that day I was on the phone with BPS taking advantage of the Spring Sale and grabbed a Browning Midas, couple packs of 4.5" swim baits, and some baby Paca craws and shelled out another $130+. I was double teamed for close to $500 for the day. Bastards!!!

Been there and done that, C-rig. A couple months back I went to BPS for ONE (1) thing that cost $1.99. $100 later......

Oh, the BM has his whole extended family working against us. Just in the Ape family alone he's got the boat gibbons, electronic chimps, trolling motor gorillas and gas orangutans. The smaller less expensive items are left to the other relatives like the oil lemurs, etc.

No, everything that was busted got replaced with new parts. The shaft was replaced too but that was covered by warrenty. Took 2.5 hours to do total repair. Trust me, it needed a lot of attention. It's seven years old and has never been worked on until now. Didn't have a problem with it today on the water. Max in Woodbridge does a good job and guarantees his work. I've never heard a bad thing about his repairs.

Here's a list of the replaced parts
Innershaft - under warrenty Armature - 2 or 3 shorts in it Seal Kit 2 Bearings Nose cone - speed coil Prop pin Trolling Motor plug 12/24 volt switch 50 amp breaker kit (2) Seems the trolling motor was installed with two 40 amp breakers and this caused most of the major problems. And the fact that I run into walls, pilings, stumps and whatever else I can find..... |
