About 7 lbs. She SHOULD have bettered 8, but had the head of a 9 and a body like an eel.
Canyon Lake, Spring, Dropshot rig. While fishing with Reb.

I recently had the pleasure of being with Reb when he nailed a 6 at Boerne (ber-knee) City Lake.

Caught this 27lb hawg night fishin a Jitterbug near some submerged timber. Faught it for 3 hours, it was some night. I'm a bit self-conscious[sp??] so I took the liberty to blur out my face.

I don't belive it. That Picture was photoshopped. I've seen it on a different forum too. the light on the fish and the shadow on the shirt are completely different. BE HONEST. It's easier than you think to tell if it's a fake. besides if it was that big you'd have had it officially weighed, too close to world record not to.

It's a joke, because I posted that post about the guy that said he caught that fish.

I figure people use it as a joke, but 02 sounds pretty serious about it.

Talking

Another nice one to report. Second of the year.

Somewhere close to 6 lbs, I'd estimate, taken in predawn darkness at Boerne (ber-knee) City Lake. Republic of Northern Meh-hee-ko, formerly Texas.

Rod: St. Croix Avid AC66MH. (A nice charcoal gray.)
Reel: Daiwa Viento. (Blue)
Line: #30 TUF braid (Yellow) w/#15 P-Line CFX fluoro leader.
Weight: 1/8 oz tungsten, sliding freely above pegged glass bead. (Weight, tungsten silvery-gray. Bead, sorta opalescent green, faceted. Peg-It rubber pegger.)
Lure: ZOOM U-Tail, Black with blue flake.
Water temp: 82/83. (kinda water-colored, but it WAS dark out there.)
Boat: 21+' Skeeter ZX250. (Mostly white. Black running surface.)
Motor: Not used due to restrictions on Boerne City Lake; Yamaha HPDI OX66 250hp. (Black)
Trollmotor: MotorGuide 24V (Ditto)
Cap worn at time of catch: Billed, Crimson, with Cream Oklahoma U. "paperclip" logo. See:
http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/image...FL._AA160_.jpg

Partner from trip, not Reb this time, will publish pix here soon.
(Partner, white Anglo-Saxon, red hair.)

Question from someone who didn't read the entire post in 10...9...8...7...
My money is on "Whudjaketchimon?"

Oh, almost forgot...Sorry...Bass, Largemouth (Micropterus Salmoides); Green back, white tummy, cute lil' dark markings along body.

10.33 on a swimbait in late June from Clear Lake. Caught in the evening, and the only pic I got came out crappy due to darkness.

Caught my first SM and LM just this year and don't know how much they weighed. The SM was just shy of 13" and the LM was just over 14". Do you carry a scale (sorry, but new to this so don't know)?

Some people carry scales, others just carry a measure and measure the length of the bass, and the girth [fattest part around the bass]. After you take the measurements you can come back here and I think its on the message boards at the top there is a weight calculator, just type in your length and girth and it will tell you the probable weight.
