Default Academy is Selling Online!!!

About time, Academy now has online sales. Just wanted to give those of you a heads up that may be paying above retail for the H2O Xpress baits on ebay. Here's the link:

Unfortunately (for them especially ) the online checkout is not working for me. Hopefully they get the bugs worked out soon.

The baits are good, I've got a couple one of the guys down south sent me. I can tell you they're a hell of a lot better than their site is right now, lol. I really hope they do something with it...

How are those 3-3.5" hard swimbaits they produce ?? I like the bluegill pattern alot. I may try these out.

They are really nice baits. I have several of them in both sizes of shad and bluegill. In my opinion, they are every bit as good action wise as many that cost 3 times as much.

Where did you find this link Marc? Academy's regular website doesn't have any online sales. I think this is still in a testing phase. The descriptions on the baits aren't even correct.

This is Academy's website.

Jrob, I saw it posted on a couple of other sites. Thought I'd pass it along, good point though on the descriptions. They have the S, M, D cranks labeled as the CRS, CRM, CRD models.

It looks like they have raised some prices too. I don't think they used to be $3.99. Good for them, I like doing business with Academy, they have always treated me right and generally have good prices. I just hope the online sales don't effect the in-store stock in anyway or change any of their return policies.

Clint I have about 8 of them ranging from 3 to 6''...They are extremely nice for the price and imo they have a much smoother swimming action then the tru tungstens swimbaits I have....Not to mention the bluegill and red ear look great!.
My only complaint is I seem to bend the vmc hooks fairly easy.
But yea man,they produce.

I also don't think this is a public site yet. If you look at the url, it starts with "beta" so that means it's probably still in the testing phase, which is good cause they need to make a lot of improvements.

I haven't fished them but they do look really good. Have a real good finish and very realistic patterns. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

I haven't had any durability issues with mine but I also haven't fished them a ton. They have a great action in the water and the "paint" is really nice. I do like to put beefier hooks on them though.

The early buzz on these new H20 rods is very good. They have good components at their price point. Hopefully the blanks and build quality is good too. They aren't in stores yet though as of my last visit.

IMO the quality on the H2O baits are just as good as anything out there..They come with VMC hooks I have the frogs , the jerkbaits , lipless and square bills the best deal is buying kits..Just remember the site is in beta so there still might be bugs.

$20 for the frogs ever bit as good as the spros.
