Record-setting weather...
This is just plain crazy. It's like someone set our calendar ahead two or three months last weekend instead of just our clocks by an hour.
The all-time record high here for tomorrow (March 14) is 61°, set back in 1990. Tomorrow's predicted high is 76°! That is insane. FIFTEEN degrees higher than the current record...yikes! The average high here on March 14 is 39°. Unreal. The average high for all of March never leaves the 40s, but our LOWEST predicted high for the next 15 days is 56°. We should be setting plenty of daily high temp records. And to close with another interesting note, to me anyway, the overnight low last Friday night up on the lake where our cabin is was -3°. And of course that was followed with a daytime high on Saturday of 55°! Going from below zero to 55 above in just a matter of hours is nuts. Talk about a bizarre winter continuing right into a bizarre spring... |

Wait until summer...
Same here to Dean. We'll pay for it this summer dearly. 80 degrees here in East Texas today. Average surface temp of 64 degrees. The lily pads aren't back yet though. They were up shallow but hadn't spawned yet. Great to get out and fight the wind today

Same thing here to Dean & Keith. Supposed to be 75 today, and in the high 60's and 70's for the next 10 days. Water temp yesterday was already 47 in some of the marinas, so it will probably hit 50+ today!

At around 4:00 today, it was 77 degrees in the shade! We're going to have a low of 52 tonight. A week or so ago, we were dumped on by snow, and without power for days.
I'm lovin the ice melt, but hopin' summer doesn't follow suit.

80+ here in Wisconsin, got a feeling the cold isn't completly through yet.
We'll see. In the mean time I'm going to enjoy what we got. They are now talking records breaking in 5 of the next 6 days. Already seeing the wackos talking global warming again, Gore must need a few more millions in income for 2013.
