why is it..
every week end is crappy weather wise? and we have such nice weather during the week -when i have to work-
on tuckertown this morning. i was working clear to stained water. temp was right at 60 lots of cloud cover and 20-30 mph winds.. yeah i know blade weather.. i had three on the blade but they were hitting the blade head on.-its hard to hook them that way- so i got out the soft jerk bait and started working it. they would pursue it but no hits at normal speed so i stepped on it. they were hitting the soft jerk bait with reckless abandon as long as i was haulin but with it.. lost my last falcon hook. switch to a x-rap in clown and dropped the hammer.. first retrive caught a 4+ pounder.. with a 7.1 reel the term harder/faster could be used.. cause that is how fast i was going.. some where around 10 am i nailed a big fish in the open flat. when i set the hook i got a whole lot of sharp pain in my right shoulder.. i pulled something but good feels a kin to a red hot knife shoved under my shoulder blade.. at that point i knew i was done for today..i headed for the dock..no pic's as camera was left at home ended up with 12 bass and a crappie -don't ask-big fish was 6+ pounds.. the baits of choice.. zooker

Are those Falcon Hooks good? I was looking at them on Tackle Warehouse. I was thinking about trying some, or should I just stick with Gammy?

It´s called Murphy´s Laws applicable to fishing Zook , no more and no less, the truth is that for me lousy weather is the best weather ....... them pleasure boaters, water skiers n´jetskiers don´t come out of their lair when the weather sucks.

Do'n those weighted hooks tear those worms up? When you thread them on the hook, doesn't the weight leave a big hole in the worm?

Buzz, go from the back to the front. You have to rig the lure first then tie the knot.
Zook, sound like a great day of catching, sorry to hear about the shoulder. |
