Default I just can't stop...

When I was pond fishing, I was happy with a single old Shimano baitcast on a Berkley Lightning rod....

I go off and buy a boat, then the next week I buy a Abu Garcia Revo SX and a Falcon lowrider.

Then sitting around and thinking that it is crankbait time, I just HAD to have a dedicated crank setup. Well, tonight I came home with another new setup... I now own a Abu Garcia Black Max and a 7' Skeet Reese Crank Bait rod. I just can't stop myself.

I also figured I'd buy some fluorocarbon for it...man I didn't realize that stuff was so expensive. Instead of getting the "wrong" stuff, I decided to come home and research it a bit before stringing it.

You're too funny. You've spent a good penny for stuff and you think the FC line is expensive. What a hoot! Nice acquistions, BTW. You have felt your monkey's sting.

It has only just begun my friend... Stay strong!
By the way, don't ask around here about what line you should purchase, that will get you twenty different answers!

Brushhog is absolutely correct. It's only just begun! Wait till those rods and reels turn into $200, and $300 combos!

As for the line, Seaguar InvisX is a great fluoro that isn't too pricey.

You've barely scratched the surface my friend! It gets much, much worse/better!

I agree with BigBassin about InvizX, it is the most manageable, pleasant to fish fluoro I have used. That being said, I'm a big fan of copolymer lines, I like P-Line CX really well.

Yeah....I know I can never have enough rods and reels, but I think I got enough to do until I can afford another one!

I have been looking at upgrading the fish finders now! It does get worse, huh... lol

Anyways, I ended up putting my ol faithful stren 10lb mono on the cranking rod.
