Timonium Fishing Expo Report
A lot less venders than normal. Had some Skeet Rods at one booth and sold out.. Carrot sticks sold out too. Saw some really unique custom rods too. Nuthin new in baits or boats.
Big law suit about Ranger hydralic lifts.. The manufactor has 9 suits against it right now.. traggic accidents sparked the suits. Now the crowds where a bit less but they really spent some cash.. Bags of reels and rods everywhere. I saw two guys walking out with four Penn Internationals with matching rods.. the biggest they make.. I did wonderfull with 20 plus deposits on fishing trips.. Sounds like you had a good show. I guess the tackle vendors in the region had to make a choice between Richmond and Timonium. Richmond may have won out since we had a little more tackle than last year. It would be nice if the shows can get back to what they used to be. Crowds were good and people were buying. I did well enough to order some new tackle and picked up three potential custom tube orders. Not counting any chickens.

Why don't we have these in Mississippi, or am I not looking in the right place? Maybe I should check New Orleans. Congrats on the Books Capt Mike.

Ranger and their hyd. j/p - serious accident at an Angler's ChoiceTx on the Upper Chesapeake last Dec. - two anglers seriously injured. One lost a leg. Jackplate seperated and the outboard ended up in the cockpit. Nine incidents so far? That's tragic. http://www.susquehanna5.com/fullstory.php?97463

Last few years that I've been at the shows has been a lot less busy, a lot of vendors have cut down their spaces almost in half to save money. One of my favorite places to get plastics was about a 1/3 of the size.
Too bad about the Ranger hydraulics, this is the first that I've heard of this problem. I wonder what kind of impact it will have on the company
