Favorite on a Texas rig.

There's been a bit of talk here about the texas rig, and I'm just wondering what everyones favorite plastic is to put on a texas rig is. I've always liked berkly powers worms, and zoom lizards. Granted you'll probably pick different baits for different conditions, but on a typical summer day, what'll it be?

Worms, lizards or what ever it maybe, I wanna hear it!

Right now I find myself Texas rigging beavers more than anything else. I tend to go through phases where I'll fish one bait over another, confidence thing I guess.

I love ribbon tail worms... I like Berkley power worms too but when the fish don't want a big fat juicy worm I use a Zoom U-tail... its like a finesse version of the Berkley power worm. I do Texas rig from time to time but lately I've been just rigging them straight on an 1/8th oz ball jig of matching color.

Beavers are my favorite t rigged baits, followed closely by tubes and lizards.

I'm seeing a lot of people saying the senko. Is that weighted, or unweighted senkos ya'll are talking about? I kinda mad weighted texas rigs in mind when I made this thread, definitely something I should have clarified.

I'm curious about robo-worms which look sorta similar, but have yet to try them. (Strangely Tacklewarehouse, Bass Pro Shops, nor Cabelas carry 6 1/2" dead-ringers, though they may have something close.) I think the "ringed" worm has better action and bends easier due to the smaller diameter center, while giving the profile of a larger worm. Also, I think I get better hook-sets as there's not as much rubber to pull the hook through.

I guess we all have our favorites, but honestly it doesn't seem to matter that much with plastic worms... Crank-baits, spinnerbaits, etc. are another story. If a crank-bait or spinner bait doesn't work, I will try a different color, size, or manufacturer and it seems there are times when the fish prefer one particular pattern over another. However in my experience rubber worms are all very similar. When I change color, size or brand I just don't find one that works much better than another.

(note: I don't fish the great big worms or the small finesse worms - though I would like to give them a try. Also I guess there have been times when a chartruse tail made a pretty substantial difference - and those were black&chartruse power worms vs purple power-worms of the same size... so I guess I'm contradicting myself - my girlfriend says I do it a lot!)

Thinking back when power-worms first came out they seemed to to work a little better than other worms, but that doesn't seem to matter as much anymore. Now the only difference I notice is the way they make my tackle box smell!

Yum 7" ribbontail worms and ReactionInnovations sweet beavers and smallie beavers. I like the owner twist lock ewg hooks and 3/16 - 5/8 oz lead bullet weights unpegged.

i was asking if the undertaker they advertise here was a good bait and what was the best way to rig it. but i just discovered another one called the huddle bug. same question and is either one worth the money.

I've never used 'em, but they look like a great bait to me. Either on a texas rig, on a jig head, and jig trailer. Might make a good C-rig bait too! Hard to go wrong I think.

The huddle bug looks great to me, again, I've never used it, but the owner and Mod, of the site (Kevin) likes them for bed fishing. It also seems like a great bait when ever bass are keying in on Crawdads.
