eugene bend knot
this knot was featured in the most recent bassmaster magazine. gary klein uses it for flourocarbon instead of the palomar knot. now i am not gonna go all crazy and say that it is better than the palomar knot but the article sounds like it would be a good knot for flourocarbon. for what it's worth the article says that klein learned this knot from shaw grigsby after he told grigsby that he had broken a lot of palomar knots. it says that it is the only knot that klein uses for flourocarbon now. any opinions?

I had seen and tried it before. I thought it was a good knot, but I lost too much line on the tag end. It may have been how I tied it.

I'm going to try it this weekend. I'm picking up some XPS fluoro at the BPS today. I have my first tourney next Sat. and we are going to practice tomorrow on the lake. I read the article and want to try it!

Does it work well for braid too?

I don't know that it would or wouldn't I don't like too many twists in my braid knots. I think it is just more places it can slip.
