Question Boat Names

My husband and I have a debate over boat names so we will ask you. Does your boat have a name? Do you have it printed on the boat (where)? and What is the name?

If we name it ....would print it (still debating)...BITE ME!!!

Well I did want to name mine "The Rusty Pelican", but I couldnt find a place that it would go well on the boat since its a tracker and they add lots of stickers and graphics of their own :P

We call her "boat".

Before I took her on the water for the first time, I did contemplate Christening her with a bottle of sweet muscadine wine from the Monteagle winery, but that stuff tastes so bad (the only reason I would have spared the bottle) that I figured it would have been bad luck.

I am still working on naming my boat. These are the names that I am considering and reasons why:

Maxxed out II (My first boat "Maxxed Out" was purchased with a credit card while in college).

Wet Dream (I know you guys get this one)

She Said Yes (my wife finally agreed to me purchasing my new boat)

No More Waders (again self-explanatory)

Smells Like Fish Too (alright, now I am being coarse)

or maybe I will just call it Wishing2BFishing

Sorry, I am not trying to hijack your thread . . . I believe your question is whether you should name your boat and my answer is, yes, definately. Perhaps if you can decide on your top three names, we could then have a vote to name your boat.

Nope, no name-unless it is Nitro. I figure a named boat has to be big enough to live on or be an ocean going vessel. I don't recall ever seeing a bass boat that was named.

The general rule of boat naming is this...

Use your youngest daughters name Miss Laurie
Use a tricky name like "Mutants on the Bounty"
Use a persons name who is deceased who made an impact on your life..

Never name a boat after a wife or girlfriend.

Changing a name is very difficult and requires a live chicken..

Naming a boat with the crowd I hang with, or hung with in Texas, would've been exposing yourself to relentless ridicule! Things like, "Geeesh! Next thing you know you'll be wearing one of those Captain Hats with the gold braid and and the anchor symbol on the crown, complete with a blue blazer and white burmuda shorts and knee high socks in white to match your white deck shoes!". No self-perserving bass-fishing Redneck would stoop that low! lol

Deacon Booze actually that is a good name with an University of Alabama reference.

They got a name for the winners of the world,
I want a name for when I lose,
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide,
Call me Deacon Blues.

Mine is called " LATINASESINA ", translated it would be " THEKILLATUB ", cuz calling a 12 jonboat ( tub ) a "boat" is pushing it, it just ainīt right.
