A woman is sueing google because she followed her blackberry's gps instructions into a street and got hit by a car.

Really? How stupid can you be? Can we not sue the sueie for being so stupid that she poses a danger to the public?

But then I also wonder about the necessity for the warning on my chainsaw that says not to hold the saw between your legs while starting it.

Too many people seem to be brainless these days for sure. My son works at our local Pizza Hut. A lady who picked up an order there the other day has been calling the manager wanting restitution for her $300.00 purse. Seems she has her purse sitting on the table next to the wings she purchased and it got a stain from some sauce that came into contact with the purse. She wants Pizza Hut to replace or pay for a professional cleaning.

It's the lawyers I tell ya. Freakin ambulance chasers. And you want to hear something funny? My ex had a stroke back in 2000 that left her paralized on one side. She went to one of the urgent care type places that was on her insurance as primary care provider for a month leading up to that complaining of headaches, nausia, and numbness on her left side the last two trips. Each time they sent her home with sinus meds saying she had a sinus infection. She was building up to a stroke that entire time and it finaly hit her in the car on her way home from work.

The docs at the hospital never could'nt figure out why her docs hadn't sent her straight to the ER where they could have given her blood thinners to lessen the damage. She did have all the warning signs after all. We decided to talk to a lawyer and all of them were eager to take the case until they investigated it and found the doctors didn't take any notes. Then they said we didn't have a case. I said. "So you mean, a lady can sue over some spilt coffe that doesn't have a warning that it's hot and win, but we don't have a case to sue these docs for not doing their job because they didn't do the rest of their job either?" I was a mad sob there for a few days.

I say stupidity should hurt. If your dumb enough not to realize you shouldn't be walking down certain roads then you deserve to be hit. Maybe next time it will lead her off a cliff and we wouldn't have to hear about it again.

It all boils down to lack of personal responsibility. Everything that happens to us is the fault of someone else. Everybody is a victim. It's the "blame game", & it's running amok in our society. Think about how it's affecting our kids, if left unchecked.

The site end with nz = New Zealand... I am sure they have different laws than we do so, but as for the legitimacy of these type of lawsuits against a company that may not have an office in that country may likely fall through.
Also every GPS related items when signing up for it is outlined and says "It is customers responsibility to follow proper laws and use proper judgement when following directions listed by this device."
