kybasser is in KY, he's attending college near Kentucky/Barkely Lake, not sure what college. You might try to send him a IM, he's not been on much during the summer break, he was working on his internship.

all bass on Barkley and Ky are moving into the back of bays and I caught 6 fish smallest was 3 and lost 2 5's at the boat. good luck

Been to the Walmart there before and I love Kentucky Lake it is awesome I am from St. Louis. B. Lake is also sweeet. Wish I was on KY lake now catching some night time small mouths. Last time I was down there I got a 8lb largemouth on a dropshot and a 4 lb small mouth on a t rigged power worm.

Kentucky fisher, not too knowledgable of the waters around here. Don't get a lot of time to go check em out.

From Richmond, and I have fished Laurel some. I have tried to hit every kind of spot on that lake and haven't had the slightest bite. The only fish I've ever SEEN be caught while I've been there is around a 12oz. bluegill.

LOL. I fish there 1-2 times a week. I started this summer. I have started doing better the past few times ive been out. Next time you go, go to flatwoods area. Great fishing. Try using a plastic worm of some kind. Or try a fat albert grub in cotton candy color. I live 10 minutes from the lake in London, KY. Ive started getting better since i graduated high school. (more time)

Why is everyone calling Laurel Lake the dead sea? There are whoppers in that lake, and they CAN be caught! The dead sea is Herrington! Someone tell me HOW to catch a nice largemouth out of Herrington, PLEASE. I have been fishing Herrington for the past 3 months every week, and I cannot catch a keeper largemouth. I caught an eight pound cat, but I would love an eight pound bass!! Is there any KY pros that can help me?

, since I graduated from Murray State (Go Racers) and have fished KY lake quite a bit, I would be glad to give any information about it I can. Just ask away! I also live in Henderson KY(which is about 10 minutes from Evansville Indiana), so if you want to know about good places to fish around here I can help with that to! Good Luck, Good Fishin!

Let's say it this way about the fishing

I've have not caught near as many BASS this year as I have in the last couple of years.

However I've been tourney fishing, and learning an awful lot of stuff

So I have to say it's been a good year of learning, not the best of years catching.

I can still go to the coal pit anytime I want and catch fish though

So I don't worry about catching them so much if I'm learning some new stuff.

Well work always sucks compared to school

Should be the other way around. Of course when you're in school you think how cool it will be to get done and out of school LOL.

That is awesome you live in Henderson. I live in webster county. Clay specifically. My fiance lives in Henderson. I have a tournament on Barkely this Saturday. Fishing should be quite good as it was last weekend. Where in Henderson do you live? We should definately make fishing trip sometime. If you just graduated from Murray, we are likely about the same age. Good to see someone so close to home on the boards.
