Angry Don't send no more tornados!!

Felt like I was in Kansas today!

This plant is about 5 minutes down the road from my house..

The rest of these are just a few minutes from my place.

Lost a few live around our area today, I'll be praying for they're families and for those that got hurt. And several thank you prayers that it missed me.

Thanks. I"m right tickled I'm ok too. lol

We get them once in a blue moon, never anything like this though. Most we usually have to worry about is the hurricanes. I was napping and mama come and beat on my door talking about a tornado warning. I jumped up went into the kitchen, the back door flew open, then the front, then a window pain blew out. Had to pee like a race horse too. Right proud I didn't wet myself.

Governer said there might have been as many as 62 tornados. So far, state wide there's 8 dead, several injured, and a 2 year old little girl missing. A lot of property damage and alot of people without homes tonight. Many a folk in NC could sure use some prayers fellas. My family was truely blessed, through this.

Having lived my whole life in tornado alley, and having been hit directly by an EF3 in 2009, I can honestly say I know what those folks are dealing with, and I send my prayers their way.

Just said on the news that three of the lives lost were 2, 3, and 5 year old children. They were in a bathtub where I assume someone had put them there for protection.

Stick, glad to hear that you are okay. We get them here in MI, every now and then but not that many at once. Praying for those that lost loved ones.

Glad you are O.K. but now I'm worried because I can't get a hold of my brother in NC. I don't think his area was hit badly, but I don't know if he was at home or out in the woods.

Some hit near my house in MS, but I haven't been there for almost 6 weeks. My neighbor isn't home either so I hope my place is O.K. Luckily I just bought a couple chainsaws so I'll load those up and head south later this week. Here's a gallery of photos from MS. This is just a bit north of me but it looks pretty bad.

Edit: Talked to my brother, he was in Wilmington for the weekend. I think his home is O.K., but not sure.

That was a really rough storm. That's probably the same one that came through here. Another tornado came close to Dekalb, MS, which is about 15 minutes from my grandmother's and my aunt's houses. Crazy weekend...

It was strange to turn on the tv friday and see jim cantore and his cameraman drive around the place I lived for 7 years with a wall cloud in the background....thankfully the damage in tuscaloosa was not on the catastrophic level, but you have to keep the people in mississppi and arkansas in your prayers.

Bender, there's still a lot of power/phone lines and cell towers down in some areas man. My power keeps going in and out, so be patient. Thanks for the well wishes and prayers guys. And indeed, there's a path of simular problems all across the country. Prayers to everyone.

yes john. on your knees you should be saying thank you LORD.

i don't want to sound crazy or nothing gang, but does it seem like we are getting more of these than usual? does htis mean the hurricains are NOT going to be rougher? or will there be MORE of these in the near future?

i ain't one of those "global warming" fanatics, just courious aobut how our weather is changing. the axies (spelling?) did shift some correct? does this have anthing to do with the weather patterns?

i don't mean to hijack the thread on this. just wondering...........

I heard that the earthquake in japan shifted the axis slightly but not sure. I imagine the Earth could be going through one of it's cycles. I also think that information from around the world being so easy to get and send with all out tech contraptions makes it seem like more is going on than used too, when in actuality it's not that much more. But we get the news in an instant when you and I grew up getting the tidbits of global news that the TV people deemed significant.

As far as our storms Saturday, in all honesty, I think it was just our turn. And yes sir bama, been doing me some serious thanking the Lord today.
