Default Back by not so popular demand

I know it has been a while but I figured it is time to get my head out of the sand and return to the things that make me happy. So I figure it is time to string up the rods again and find my way to some water. Of course what is fishing with out you bunch of east coast, ultra-conservative, fox news listening block heads. HA HA

I know that the guys on FB know, but here is the down and dirty from my hiatus. Divorcing, living in condo, and had to sell the boat haven't been fishing in many months. While I really do appreciate those that are going to say sory to hear about all of that, it will be okay. There are only two options for my life. Wallow in self pity or embrace my future. I have chose the second.

So tomorrow, I am making my way out to a local spot, tying on a DS or a senko and reminding myself that fishing makes me happy. Catching is just an added bonus.

Hey! i don't live on the damm east coast!!!

And considering I've been away from the boards so long myself that I never knew you took a break, I won't say "welcome back" I'll just say "go catch a fish."

Tom, I am glad that you have decided to come back and get back into fishing. I have prayed a lot for you over the last several months and although I know things didn't exactly end up how you wanted, I am glad that you are doing well.

Great to see you back Tom. Bubba and I were just wondering about you the other day. I'm really sorry to hear that things haven't gone your way, keep your head up buddy. Don't be a stranger.

I'm glad to hear it's still legal to fish over there in California

Good to see you back, Cass! Gotta represent the west coast, lol!

How far are you from those big bass lakes like Castaic, Casitas and Clear?

I am a haul from Clear lake. It is more northern Cali and I am as south as you can get.
Castaic is about 200 miles, but it means driving through LA so it might as well be double that distance.

I guess since your Padres are already 7.5 games out of 1st you decided that finding something to occupy your free time is a good idea? LOL

Very good point, and dually noted. Your welcome for us sending that lazy, self centered cancer over to the Angels to make the Padres seem that much less pathetic LMAO.

Cass, I'm totally out of the loop, but sad to hear what you're going through, for sure.

Get out there and rip some lips! There's no better therapy at any cost!

On a side note, your avatar was on sale at Gander last week. I took an XL

Tom, it is a good feeling once you get back started isn't it. I spooled up a couple reels yesterday and made my first cast in over 6 months. I wasn't that eager to do it, but once I did it was worth the time.
I just got back from two weeks out there in SoCal, Costa Mesa to be exact. I didn't see many places to fish other than the ocean though.
