Cold front rolled through late yesterday-high pressure, bluebird skies and most likely lockjaw. That, plus I have a few things I have to take care of this afternoon-that is the main reason.

Went yesterday for the first time in a while and got skunked. My problem is that my boat is halfway across the state and I'm here, and the nature of our lakes and the season makes it tough to do really any good from the bank. Luckily all that is starting to change.
I can rent boats, but it aint the same. The other day all I could rent was about a 30 year old motorguide- which was loud enough to wake the dead. Sounded like a rock tumbler. I'm sure it had something to do with my luck.

Well truth be told, working all day at my mom's, then going to sister's for dinner. Now on the way back to Florida tommorrow(I'm in South Carolina) I might just have to find a watering hole for my boat. Because as soon as I hit dad's place he has a screened in porch he wants done LOL. I gotta find a job, this not working stuff is keeping me from fishing.

I am going in the morning, fished a week ago in misting rain, turned to little ice chips when it hit us. Kids all ended up in the truck with the heater.

Got my first bass of the year! I was fishing for pan fish with a jig and a wax worm on a 2' 2" rod with 2lb. line and this guy took it. 14 1/2", I was really surprised when he came up to the hole.

lady,
fish that come out of the cooler depths are usually lighter in color tones, however a few minutes out of the water or in the live well, they darken up a tad... Have ya ever noticed a fish that comes out from a vegetation mat (complete darkness) are usually very dark on thier back? their part chameleons I Tell Ya! |

I went out yesterday with a friend of mine. We headed out a little after lunch. We were only focusing on BIG fish. I tossed a swimbait for 4 1/2 hours,in the pouring down rain, and water looked like coffee with cream, only about 10" of visability. Nothing, but I did get bit on a jig and pig in the rushes, but it was great to get out and fish with a friend.
