My Buddy Bill and I on Guntersville Friday and Saturday (4-1 and 4-2)
Well I talked to Bama this morning, never did see him today, I only got two today. The wind was howling and the sky Blue! High Pressure had a profound affect on the bass. Yesterday was cold, cloudy and windy with the sun finally coming out late in the afternoon. The fishing was considerably better on Friday. The water temps were 52 to 54 everywhere we went on Friday, but warming to 55 and 56 this afternoon. The count for Friday was 11 fish on The Squirrel Tail worm, Baby Brush Hog and Red Shad 1/2oz Rattletraps. Today, the first one came quickly on a Red Shad Rattletrap and thought "Game ON", But it was six hours before I got another bite on the squirrel tail worm by Big Bite on a Giggy Head. Any way, here's a few pitures from Yesterday and Today. No pigs but some solid chunks
Yesterday: And today:

Sounds like a good trip, even though it was tough like last time I was there. I know a lot of spots on that lake look alike, but the shore in that last picture looks the same as where I was a month ago.

John, they were very specific when it comes to the lipless baits, they wanted the 1/2 oz "Red Shad" Rattle trap. We tried the Xcal baits and even the LC baits, even the red craw traps, but the only lipless was like I already said "Red Shad". I went up and down in size and the 1/2 oz worked slowly in about 1 1/2 to 3' of water around the new growth alligator grass out in the middle of the flats. Slow roll that puppy up to the visible grass and snatch it loose a couple of times then they were just there!.

Wow, love those pics and congrats on the fine catch. From the pics it looks like Guntersville is a beautiful body of water. I have to fish it some day. Thanks for sharing.

Look in the next to last picture (the one that's a little foggy) and you will see the bait.
