Little boats like that are fun projects. I've got a little 12' jonboat along with my bigger boat for small waters. Nice to have something I don't need all the stuff I normally take in my other boat, just a trolling motor, battery, little tackle and a couple rods.

That is a perfect little project boat. I've done several over the years in both tin and glass, lot's of fun. Keep us posted.

Is it 12' or 14?

Looks like a nice sturdy boat. Can't wait to see how you put a floor in her.

Excellent! Do you plan on building some front/rear casting decks or just floors and putting pedestals on the existing benchs?

If its near the rear, will work fair, any hard right or left turn 90 deg and be pulling or pushing the boat sideways, have to use less correction or steering.Nice mounting.Canoes rigged close to that for outboards in canuck.
