Not sure about the first set, but the second set of pics is definitely not Indiana.

Where is this "Crown Point"? I Google it and get hits from five states.

No matter how big the bait, you sometimes have to go with smaller line to trigger a bite.

Dang! I guess so! But according to SBK, you can use what ever line for swimbait... But I guess that does not apply to all cases!

Not a bad place to fish Indy. I am here in So Cal and fish a lot of the same lakes. I am hitting up Hodges this week and have a tourney at El Cap in 2 weeks.

BassBoss,
Most breakoffs on swimbaits occur on the cast. You have seen myself and others comment on the constant need to re-tie. The weight of those baits will cause the knot to tighten down darn fast.

I tie a new knot about every 20 minutes. and yes the way your going to loose this lure is on the cast. unless you lay the hook into a nice stump. its painstaking to use such light line but it pays off. and ive fished hodges a couple times but im not the biggest fan of that lake

With San V closed and the pleasure boats on El Cap, the lake is way too over fished lately. Most of mine have come off of x-raps off the points.
