Has anyone here tried an on-line swap meet kind of deal?
Alot of anglers have 'extras' we don't need or want or are willing to part with. Resale on tackle, especially high end stuff can be challenging to say the least.
Now I'm not saying, just being able to swap high end stuff.
Fishing or bait monkey related stuff.
With the economy and the job market and all the new and young fisherman around here, this maybe away to get stuff within the reaches of more.
Maybe someone has something they make and just want to swap with another angler who does the same.
Maybe you have something that was your go too but now it's not. Maybe you moved and your color choices have changed or go to lures have. (And you don't need 50 lures in that choice anymore) Maybe you sold your boat and now don't use the same equipment or tackle but now want shorebusting stuff instead, or vice versa.

What do you think?

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww Jeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Just what he needs - ENCOURAGEMENT. Actually it may work but we already have the classified section - you can always note cash OR TRADE. I don't see a specific need for a flea market or swap meet forum. Some other boards have a section for "WANTED TO BUY" (or trade), but are we really big enough to warrant a seperate section? I don't thing our "classifieds" forum is all that busy. Joe, you definitely think too much, you really need to find a hobby.

That's a great idea, but I agree it could probably be handled in the classifieds section. So do you come up with these thoughts while your were fishing, or when you're wishing you were fishing?

I agree, it could be handled in the classifieds or in a "trade" thread. It wouldn't need its own section.

Usually while fishing, but happens other times while planning or thinking fishing too I guess.

Just so everyone knows, I wasn't talking having a swap section or trade section in the forum.
I was thinking more of a one time or once a year thing.
At most maybe at the end of warmer temps or start of new season, spring fall type a thing.
And I was talking bartering or trading not selling, also.
It was kind of a thinking out loud type of thread.
