Default Make your own Carolina Rigs, Save the money for gas.

Try making your own Carolina Rigs. You pick the material but you can use my WillWireWrap for many lure building needs.

Default Hmmm

Although he calls it several times "Carolina Rig", I'm a little confused. My C Rigs are with a weight, bead, swivel, 18 to 30 inches of line (depending), & my favorite plastic hanging on a hook. Maybe it's called something else in other parts of the country. Crappies, specks, white perch....all the same. And the wire looks like it's heavier than 030. I've twisted enough .032 safety wire to know the difference. His wire appears to be more like .050.

My C Rigs are also with a weight, bead, swivel, leader. If you don't want the sinker sliding up the line just peg it like a texas rig. But I have never had an issue with it left loose.

It's how to make those pre-rigged c-rigs. They are wire with weight and beads.

Pretty useless if you ask me. Just make em on your line

We do a lot of dock fishing and the shorter rig is more accurate for me to cast under a dock.

You use a Carolina rig with wire to fish under docks?? I don't think anyone has the slightest clue what you're talking about.

I viewed it, and that is not what I would consider a Carolina "rig". Whaterve that is, it's a lot of hardware to add to a fishing line and requires two knots to connect it and a third knot to tie on a hook. And you'll need to add a sinker above it also, looks like a "grass magnet" to me. Nope, I don't want all that stuff added to my fishing line.

How will it save you gas money? The wire alone will add to the cost of a REAL C-rig therefore making it more expensive. Far too much time involved in making them up to be easier than adding a sinker & beads to a picece of fishing line. No, I can't see this as being something I would use.

Good luck with your "idea".
