Default Icast 2013

Icast started today in Vegas. I just found these new pics with some cool Sebile and SK baits. If you see anything cool, post it here.

I'm hoping for two things. An XCaliber crank bait with rattles, and a Strike King crank bait that's wonders like Rapalas Scatter Rap.

The CI4+ looks awesome. I'm glad to see Shimano move the Chronarch back to it's normal position in the lineup, under the Core and step above the Curado. The drag washers are made of the same material as Shimano's other reels, I haven't seen numbers but i'm sure the rating is on par with the E series reels.

Daiwa's new reel lineup, the Tatula, is the other reel i'm really interested in. There will be a regular version in the $150's and a Type R version around $200. Tackle Tour has already done a review.

These pictures were released last week but worth looking at. The new Storm baits look awesome!

Gettin giddy just looking at em! Can't wait to see what else they're unveiling... definitely excited for tackle tour's coverage.

I'm surprised to see that the veracity didn't become the flag ship rod for Abu Garcia, but I definitely like the price point!

Crazy new baits from Live Target. These are called Baitballs. It's a clear crankbait with little crankbaits inside. It's supposed to mimic a school of bait in one contained lure. Very cool concept.

Just looking at that made me almost piss my pants a little. Why can't I ever think of stuff like that?

That Spro Bronzeye Shad looks pretty good to me. I like the body design. I'm going to be sure to grab one to try out when they hit the market.

But I am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel. i am not in the market for a reel.

Also, its interesting to see bassmaster showing a lot of Simms products.

I looked up the Simms stuff after seeing it on MLF? I had never heard of it.

Is it any comparison to the BPS/Cabela gore tex gear?

Simms is a sponsor of the Elite Series. That's why Bassmaster is plugging their stuff. They make outdoor clothing. Their rain gear is top of the line, better than BPS or Cabelas. It's about $1000 for bibs and a parka though.

TW just uploaded a bunch of videos with new Simms products, (and tons of new baits, rods and reels.)

Normally you see Simms being sold out of expensive fly shops, I guess they are branching out.

I know they gave every guy who fishes the Elite Series and the Classic a rain suit. I don't know how it's working out for them but it's definitely good exposure.

If Aqua-skins could get there act together and sponsor an event they could be recognized. They are the best but hard to find in stores. You just got to try them on before you put down that cash. Simms is very pricey BTW ... LL Bean is made by the same company overseas as Simms. Priced about the same..
