Great haul!
However, I will add my vote to the "return the Vanish" group! Like you, the first fluorocarbon I ever tried was Vanish. Something about the packaging just suckers in the new fluoro fisherman...not sure exactly what it is. It was so bad, I almost gave up on fluorocarbon forever. Luckily, it all didn't suck as bad as the Vanish!!! Take it back!!

Sounds to me like you got some great stuff. My birthday is this week and I'm planning on letting the monkey take me b-day shopping at bass pro .I also have to agree on returning the vanish.

If you have your heart set on trying some fluorocarbon, and want an inexpensive one...go to Wal-Mart and pick up some Vicious brand. There are a lot of guys on here who think it's not as good as some of the high end ones, and they may even be right....but they'll have to admit it is the cheapest....and it is at least far better than Vanish.

Ok, here's the thing about vanish... Like others have said, it wasn't designed for bass fishing. It was originally meant as line for walleye fishing and won't stand up to the repeat casting and brutal, eye crossing hooksets of bass fishing. In all honesty, I wouldn't use it for walleye either, lol.
There are a couple cheaper alternatives to normally pricey fluorocarbon lines. One of them, which is actually a pretty good one that quite a few people like is BPS's Fluorocarbon. I've never used it, but Seaguar Red Label is another inexpensive fluorocarbon. This would be my choice solely because Seaguar's other lines (InvisX and AbrasX) are my favorites. And like nofear said, Vicious Fluorocarbon is another inexpensive option. But don't let Vanish or another inexpensive fluorocarbon ruin your thoughts on fluoro if it's your first time using it. I've used probably 3 or 4 fluorocarbons, and nothing compares in terms of manageability to Seaguar InvisX. But yeah, take that vanish crap back and at least get some BPS Fluoro. BB
