HI All,
I'm going to TN in the first part of July for vacation and will be fishing at Douglas lake... putting in at Swans Marina. I haven't been there in 18 years fishing... any tips on areas close by with bait selection would be appreciated. I have my map on navionics on my H bird 798 I'm looking at as well. Thanks, Sam

Its a good striper lake,if bass fishing ledges first drops, deep cranks 6xd or dd22,if wanting just to catch bass same as where you are from, just no monsters.Start shallow in morning and move deeper all day long, same with baits topwater early then deep and deeper.
Rubber green pumkin, watermelon red, smoke and plum, cranks in chart sexy shad, and sexy shad colors.Lazer eye in same or chromenblue. It will be hot ,sun screen, and any deep bass release asap or they will expire without relieving the pressure on swim bladder. Cloudy days expect a smallie from that aforementioned chart sexy shad bait. The 5 and 6xd are about the hottest baits going anywhere in tn currently. Color works however in all the models including kvd 1.5. Last edited by lilmule; 04-26-13 at 08:46 AM. |
