Way to go, Ron. You're getting close now! 5-7 weeks from now, depending on ice-out, and we should be able to shove this stuff into the water and also get our boat out. Still have to wait until the last Saturday in May for bass opener though.

That's funny, my brother and I used to spend hours fishing out of the boat in the back yard. We'd dove hunt out of it too. Good memories.

Tanner and I got out today to take some SI shots on a local lake and caught 1 in the mix. But Flea catches me pretty often under the carport hanging out in the boat. Its like a light to a moth. I just can't resist.

Not yet. Mama said she wanted to go motorcycle riding instead. I'll prep mine this coming weekend. No rush though. These deep, clear TVA lakes are still so cold and the fish so deep you couldn't get them without depth charges.

Club has a tournnament.....sorry "social gathering" this Sat on the warm side of the radiated mud hole this weekend. Seems the uptight residents don't like tournaments on their side of the lake. This will be my 21st year with the club but I'll be working and not fishing....I will be getting out next Weds on the river for our first official tournament. I hope. Who knows it might snow.

First time I saw that Movie was in a Drive In Movie Theater.

Wow, for you young anglers, forget the HD and high end sound systems.
If you never have been to a Drive In, you ain't seen a MOVIE yet!!!
If you never have climbed an 8 foot fence just to turn all the back row speakers up.
Climb back over and sit on the creek shore with your special girl.
Then have to tell her that in LaCrosse it was legal to have a 'beer' at 15 years old
If you've never entered a theater in the trunk of a car....your just not a movie buff!!!!

Not many left, so get the kids and grandkids and take them to an experience they will remember always.
Heck last summer I convinced my grandson that the best way in to the theater was in the trunk.
That kid brings it up everytime the word 'movie' is mentioned.
And then goes on to explain me putting him in the trunk.
.....we usually leave shortly after his reminiscing.

Not everyone appreciates my sense of humor.

For those who want to Reminisce;

The old rambler one moved the back seat forward and could come from seat to trunk or reverse.Still have a few driveins around here, not only movies but gals on roller skates serving hot dogs.
