nothing to REALLY brag about..........
well i went on my first trip of 2013.....and i started off right where i left off in 2012, hahaha!!
my nephew was fishing his high school tourny at GUNTERSVILLE LAKE today. they had 200 boats out there. and i swear i saw 199 of them, lol. my brother and i fished in my rig till the weigh in time. heath only got 1 bass...3# and somehting. not good at all, lol. the wind was blowing about 20-25 mph it felt like. white caps everywhere. so after we saw where heath finished (near the bottom) we headed back out in TOWN CREEK. wind drove the boat to shore so much i think i almost drained the batteries in 3 hours, lol. then i went to turn around to get my brother outta some fallen trees and.....SNAP!!! the steering cable on the trolling motor broke off. i told my brother, "that's it...we're done. let's go home." haha, he said,"BOUT TIME, AIN'T NOTHING BITING ANYWAY." but i DID manage to catch 2 dinks....so my streak is still alive. some of oyu got a text picture of the first one, the 2nd was a lil chunkier but 3 inches short of 15". nephew said friday he went to BROWNS CREEK and WORE them out. he caught 4-5 in the 4# plus range within 30 mins then got out before they got accustomed to what he was doing. of course the wind wasn't blowing friday. today was a TOTATLY different story. jsut goes to show oyu, it can change overnight folks. but i got to go fishing, and had my brother with me to boot. we had a good time. now i gotta save up some money to fix the trolling motor....UUUUGGGGGG!!!! ya'll are safe for now ok? hahahaha!! good luck folks!!!

Being on the water is enough to brag about for me. Sounds like good time of fellowship. You finally got your wires straight and the cable...to be continued.

OH THAT HURTS! As you know, Brown's Creek is mine and hubby's mostest favorite fishing place! Sure wish we could get down that way but with the job situation, we can't afford the extra cost right now. Now that I have the time, there is no moola!!! |
