The Albright Knot
Good Lord, whew. I had a real with 10lb test and I decided to remove half of it and spool up with the 30lb Suffix. It said it was an equivalent to 8 lb test, so I figured it would work I checked the knot website: http://www.animatedknots.com/indexfi...e=LogoGrog.jpg
and choose the albright. It must have took me half an hour to finally get that son of fish. And my wife kept bugging me for the computer while I was trying to go through the steps, so that didn't help my dwindling patience level. What other knots do you used when connecting 2 lines? I reckon I could have square knotted it, but I don't like half-buttin' something. I have got to say though, once I got it, it was sweet and clean. You can barely tell the transition.

That is a hard knot! I've never had luck with it hold well in braid though (yes, I know it, kind of a hobby), just use the good strong, uni to uni knot! Always works with braid to mono/ flouro!

I use the Albright, Bubba. With a little practice, it gets easier.
Notice I didn't say EASY, I said easiER.

I always used the albright. I does slip sometimes with mono/fluoro to braid. that's why I switched to the double uni or uni to uni or whatever ya call it. It's just as easy to tie with some practice and it holds no matter what line..
