Default first fish on new pole.

So I caught the first fish on my new pole, not a very big bass but the first, he was taken on a chartreuse spinner bait in some of the murkiest water I've ever seen.
After catching that I caught something I've never seen, A bigmouth sleeper, and what a disappointing fight! It shook for a second than just stopped moving altogether and just came quietly;also caught on a spinnerbait.
Do any of you catch bigmouth sleepers?

Anyway the fish are not much to brag about but the pole is a pflueger president! a very nice rod & reel.

I saw a lot of those last year when I fished the canals at Rotundo West Fla and had no idea what the heck they were, I was on the look out for mud fish, and asked some local guy what the most common fish was around the canals, he said talipia and bass...well all I saw was gaters and some Largemouths, along with similiar critters shown above

Good work, Meat...

And yes, that fish has been caught before. We had a fun time trying to figure out what it was last time.

I thought it was a wolf fish at first too... but my dad said it was a war mouth.... still not sure what my bro caught was a sleeper though!
