Default MN season opener

My brother-in-law took me out in his boat this morning and we had a great time. We caught 23 LM total (14 for me after I gave him a 3-0 head start ), and although none of them were very big, we both enjoyed the morning tremendously because we were finally able to get after the MN bass again. I caught all of mine on a t-rigged Lake Fork 5" Hyper Stick (Green Pumpkin/Copper/Gold color). It was my first time ever using them and I really liked them. He caught all his fish on a 5" wacky-rigged senko. My biggest were 2-10, 2-7, 2-6 and 2-3, and his biggest was 2-1. Here is a picture of the 2-10 that was 15.75".

Most of the fish were much skinnier and not as "thick" as I am used to seeing up on our cabin lake, which is where we are headed as I type this. We'll be there for the whole week, but the weather forecast looks pretty stormy all week, so only time will tell how much fishing we'll be able to do. It will be great to be away from work and just relax for a week, no matter what the weather ends up doing!

That's a nice looking fish, very nice coloration to it. Sounds like a good day to start the season.
