Default Fishin' is expensive!

Tuesday I put a piddling, insignificant little order in to BPS. A few packs of hooks and a couple packs of sinkers - can't amount to much. Dang with shipping I was just under $100.

Xps Hook Weight 2 pk @ 3.19/ea (BPS brand)
Round Bend Hook 2 pk @ 13.99/ea (Gamagatsu)
Skip Gap Hooks 15.49 (Gamagatsu)
Sinker Stops 3 pk @ 1.79 (BPS brand)
Spider Slider Head 9.49
Perfect Worm Rig 4 pk @ 3.99/ea (Gamagatsu)

It just don't seem right - I mean I can hold this chit in the palm of my hand, and I drop a C-note? And I thought GOLF was expensive

Best bet always is to order online from Tackle Warehouse. Make sure everything adds up to at least $50 and you get 2 day shipping.....for $5. It's a thing of beauty!

Hooks are really expensive! I wish I could find a better deal on them since I buy 100 packs a lot for making jigs, but so far I haven't found anything great. Jig hooks are quite a bit cheaper than worm hooks, I don't know why.
Just be thankful you didn't have any tungsten on your list or else it could have gone up fast.

$5.00 shipping from T/W doesn't do me much good if they don't have what I want. Only thing available from T/W would have been the Gammie round bend and skip gap hooks, they don't carry the others (that I found) or a reasonable substitution.

Overlooked the BPS branded products. I prefer their sinker stops over others and you get a lot of them for the money.

Yeah it does cost a lot of money. But think what you can buy for fishing for the cost of a round of golf. Plus it will last longer.

I hear you... last week alone I spent close to $300... that included 2 spinning rod/reel combos, a replacement transducer and lots of lures...

and it was nice that one of those orders was from bassassassin.com, 200 pieces/lures for $3 (plus shipping)

The only bad part about bassassassin right now is their orders are 3-5 days behind schedule... my order was placed last Friday the 26th and is just being shipped today Mar 5th... but as much as they are selling and the fact that nothing on that order is absolutely needed right now, I am not worried about that delay. They are located here in North FL anyways so it should be here Mon. or Tue.

edit: just checked my email and they sent me the UPS tracking info... due here Tuesday!

Forgot I had also ordered these:

50 ct 4" Swimming shiner Bluegill pattern
