Pics from last weekend.
Here are a few pics from my outting last weekend. Had the motherboard on my comp not gone out last saturday, I would have posted them then. But here they are now. As you can see, there is still plenty of ice and snow here. But with some open water and cabin fever having set in a long time ago, I had to take a walk along the shore and make a few casts. You can see the one pic of the only two lures I took with me. They are ice out favorites of mine. The chatterbait was actually made here by bassboogieman here in the forums. Do you recognize it Bruce? It's my favorite chatterbait, and sadly to say I don't have it now. It became snagged on a log about 35 foot from shore, and there it still hangs. I didn't catch a thing, but it felt awfully good walking around the lake, making some casts again. As of this weekend, much of the snow has melted, but some remains, as does quite a bit of lake ice yet. But I would say by next weekend, the ice should be gone or close to it. Anyways, I though some of you might enjoy these. The pic of the pier totally encased in ice is a favorite early spring location of mine! Right in the city park, and close to the playground and parking areas and launch, it does not get much interrest from anglers. But it's a good producer for me there. Took a walleye that I estimate at close to 10 pounds off that pier last spring, and lost what I think was perhaps the biggest bass of my life.

Holy smokes break out the boat Keith you got soft water!!!!
Wish we were half a far along as you. Still ice on the lakes, not a clear spot to be seen like you have there. We have slight snow meltage every other day or so... some days we don't get above freezing, so it's irritating. Going to be visiting some family in NC a week from now, so I'm sure it'll feel like sauna there compared to here. Hope it's melty when we get back! lol

We went out to Waveland yesterday. 19 boats weighed 12 bass. 5.17 won it and we blanked after throwing everything in the boat. Water temp is 40-43, so it's still tough but it'll get better! As soon as the snowpocolypse is over...

brings back memories of the last time table rock froze all the way past kimberling city. we are really lucky here and can fish all winter. have to hand pick the days because of temperature, but it is not like no fishing because of ice.
