I'm Tired...

... Tired of the same old chit people give me about my parents buying all my tackle. Of six bass rods and reels totaling $1,400, my parents have bought one, I repeat one, rod for me, a Falcon Low Rider Spinning for $110. The only reason for this is because I broke my only rod at the time the day before a tourney and needed a new one, so dad bought me one. Desperate times, desperate measures. Don't tell me you've never borrowed a few dollars from mom or dad, brother or sister. We all do it.

If you feel the need to disucss this matter or any other matter further, call me, PM me, IM me, something. This is a bass fishing board, not a board to give-a-damn about who owns what. If it's so important to know who buys whos tackle, I think you need to straighten your priorities.

I don't know if your allowed to say "chit" on here or not but when my son ( the Bassinbandit) was 15 or 16 yrs old and he came out with any kind of talk like that he knew to go a snickers bar because I was going to be on his "AZZ" all day. He'll soon be 27 and stills keeps that to a minnium (spelling is pretty bad). Buzz we all know your a good kid and enjoy your comments, but please when something is said that bites your hook just let it slide off your back and go on. NOW

Try not to let it get the better of you Buzz. It always seems that the people who know the least have the most to say about anything. Most of the guys in here a really good guys, but as with any public forum, there are always going to be a few of those who say things they shouldn't. Take pride in your achievements and ignore the neysayers. One of lifes lessons teaches us how to deal emotionally with those who always try to bring us down. Personally, when one thinks of all the things that are hurting the young people of today, I'd be thrilled to buy a couple fishing rods for my boys.

Buzz, everybody gets razzed a bit, especially in sports like fishing and hunting. Just take the razz with your head held high, and wait for your oppertunity for payback. Then hit em' over the head with it like a stinky sock.
