Do any of you guys still use a paper graph? I doubt it but was just curious. They seem to be almost giving them away on ebay....I remember liking an old EM1 back in the day.

Is that a fish finder that writes on paper instead of having a screen? I mean that's what it looks like to me, just seems like it would be terribly inconvenient.

They have one serious advantage over modern fishfinders though. You won't have to wipe with leaves........

What's a feller gotta do to start a serious convo around here? You wipe with that stuff and you'll have to change the spelling from rectum to wrecktum

While its been awhile I owned a paper graph, never ever did load paper it also had the screen, just as a modern one does, paper was like the 3 d jobs nowdays to graph print and drool over the picture, some spending more time scanning and printing than fishing.Suspect mine was a transition unit.
Every time I see these 3k 3d units high up on the jp,makes me think of them just tad more expensive, difference is while a narrower field of view that old graph worked on plane. Who else but fishermen would spend thousands on a unit that operates at walking speed, then needing two(other a 2d) on the console the other one to run with. |

Don't own one but I fished with a guy in a tourny at Table Rock that used one for deep jigging spoons. It was amazing how sensitive that thing was and it was almost like sight fishing in 80ft of water.
