Default !*@#$%*!&#$*#@$

I actually bought a second Legend Extreme rod for $238 on ebay, but I didn't end up getting it.

Man....that sucks. I'm ticked.

It started out as an auction, which I got outbid on, but then they gave me a "second chance offer" to buy it for $238, because the winning bidder had apparently backed out. Then the seller turned around and backed out on me. It almost felt like I was dating, haha.

Bummer! But at first, I thought you were telling us you'd been ripped off.
Apparently someone has some serious love for that rod.
Pretty good endorsement, when you run to Ebay to buy another

E-Bay has me so pissed off I refuse to bid now. They hide the bidders name now so it makes it very hard to identify shill's..

You all know what a shill is right?

In fact they even protect them now.. I only BUY NOW from E-Bay

Yea Buy it now is just about the only way to do it.

And a shill is a person who bids just to get the amount up for the seller and usually is the seller right? It really sounds like that is what happened to you NoFear. Think about it, the guy "says" that the buyer backed out when actually it was the seller or someone the seller knows and they didn't get what they wanted for it.

Well, I know that happens a lot, but I don't think so in this case. The item had a reserve on it which didn't get met, so it's not like they were obligated to sell it. I think in this case, the seller was just stupid and offered second chances to more than one person.

Could have been. If not you should get in contact with him and make him an offer, if he is really wanting to get rid of it.

Haha....ever see a monkey with his hand stuck in a jar because he won't let go of the food? That's how I feel right now with all of the fishing tackle.

I got a Abu Morrum Forell on ebay for $100, only to have the guy email me back and say he opened the box and the reel was defective and he was "sorry".

Also had it happen with a nice Ipod that I got for 75 less than it was worth. Its gotten to where it is impossible to really score a deal via auction cause nobody keeps their word.

What is a Morrum Forell? Obviously it's an ABU baitcaster, but I can't seem to find a picture of one...just a bunch of guys raving about it.

Buying on ebay is not what it used to be. But at least there is Paypal. I got an almost instantaneous full refund to my account.

Back in 1997, I got ripped off for $200 on a 20GB HDD on ebay. The same guy ripped off about a hundred people the same way, and ended up in prison (I had numerous lengthy conversations with the Florida police detective who put him there. ). Never again. It was a painful lesson.

Weird about them hard drives 20 GB was 200 or more dollars in 1997, now you can get 1-2 TB for around that much.

Man that sucks nofear! Did you get your money back though?

Here is the Abu Garcia Morrum Forell. (I think) I also think it is a JDM reel.

Here's a couple pics of newer ones (definately JDM reels)

Thats it. An insano reel. Was really looking forward to it, only to have the monkey spirit taken from me by ebay.

Very purdy. But what makes it a "Forell?"

And yes, BB144...the woman gave my Paypal a refund very quickly. And said the rod got sold twice. Ebay glitch? Who knows.

Neither my dad or I have had any problems with fishing stuff over ebay. My dad purchased his Zillion, one of his Loomis IMX rods, and my Daiwa Viento (christmas present two years ago) through ebay without a problem. I also bought my Loomis rod through ebay without a problem.

Maybe if I had had more problems, I'd stop ebaying and I'd actually have some money, lol.

.
As I recall, and this happened 2 years ago, the rosewood grips, gold color, magnetic breaks as opposed to centrifugal and a different levelwind. It was a japaneese reel.
