Default Help me out here, guys.

I am all in a quandary - once again. I posted a couple months ago that I bought a S&W Bodyguard (.380) and in the store it looked like what I was looking for, had the laser sight built in the frame, all-in-all a nice pocket gun. Then I shot it. Yes, it went bang and went bang without any difficulties - but I REALLY did not like the trigger. So it's sold and I'm looking for another, but to narrow down the suggestions be it known I am NOT a fan of striker fired pistols - I KNOW, it's the current technology - I prefer a hammer and single/double action AND a thumb safety. I don't like Glocks - EVERYONE else does, but not me. Does anyone make a small frame pistol, single/double, hammer and thumb safety anymore? I can't seem to find one. I was looking at a .380 (don't want anything smaller) but would consider a small frame 9mm (I have a full size Baretta 92F). Like Don Quixote I may be searching for the "Impossible Dream".

I'm a handgun virgin, so I can't help at all.
Keith told me about thefiringline.com.

If you haven't been there, that'd be a good place to find out

While it is SAO, have you considered a small 1911-style pistol? The Springfield 1911 EMP is SWEET to hold and even better to shoot. It's pricy though.

I had a Colt .380 Government in stainless - a mini frame modeled on the 1911 - didn't like SAO and carrying the pistol C&L. I think I'm just stuck in the 70's and unable to adapt to the "new technology". That little Colt was a good shooter, though. I had a Walther PPK, again in stainless and .380, should have NEVER got rid of that one. It was an older gun, not like the current models.

It really is a good site. Most of those guys know more about guns, ammo, reloading, optics, etc. than anybody I've ever seen.
