Default Christain Fish Tournaments.

I struggle with my new priorities. God,Family,Fishing. I am tired of what this world has to offer. I do get caught up in politics. But i will win the battle in time. Saying all that i came accross a christian tourment trail. That i think would keep my mind on my new Priorities. This looks like a group of guy's that i would like to join. They look like they have a very active tournament trail. Take a look:http://www.fomntt.com/

Sounds like a greeat idea moose. We have something similar in our church. While we don't do any touraments, we do get together for a day out on the lake. It's a great way to merge two priorities and enjoy the good fellowship.

I fished FOM last year in the Kentucky North Division. I really enjoyed it however it is a little expesive $150 a tourney and it usually requires a lot of travel and several days off work and with todays gas prices I opted for the Renegade Series this year on my home lake at 65 a tourney. I will tell you that FOM are for real in the tourneys that the run. I have met Founder and National Director Al Odam several times and he is top notch. Thier platform is awsome. They are very strict on thier rules which I liked. My partner and I finished fourth in our division and made it to the Regional on Kentucky Lake. For a dumb ole country boy from Eastern Kentucky launching out of KY lake with 230 boats was somthing you don't see every day and to top it off it all went off without a hitch. I say if you can afford it go for it. you won't regret it.

Lilmoose,

This is my 4th year fishing the FOM series here in VA. In 2004 my brother and I won the points title and got to fish the National Championship tourney on Kentucky Lake that year. We finished 39th out of about 114 teams. Anyway... I can tell you I've really enjoyed it. We didn't fish it in 06-07 (fished a cheaper local series) but are back this year. The tournaments here are excellantly run and the director and his people will bend over backwards to make sure it's a great time. Al Odem is a great guy and makes sure the National tournament is first class. If you can swing it I'm sure you will enjoy it. I think there are 56 or more divisions across the country now so you shouldn't have a problem finding a series close by. If you have any questions about the trail I'll be glad to answer or get the answers you need! Hope to see you at the Nationals one day!!!

If you want you can pm me and I'll give you my cell phone number and we can talk about it. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy the series here in VA.

They are always looking for new divisions. You could get one started in your area.

Another group you might want to look into is FOCAS (Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society). The web site is www.focas.org

They have a local club here and host a bunch of small tourneys. The cost seems to be a little less. I don't know where other local chapters are located, but it might help.
