I have a 1943-D Penny that's made from zinc. During the war when copper was scarce the US made pennies from zinc. It's a pretty cool coin, silver in color. I also have a 1945-S penny, 1933 Penny, and a 1919 penny. Make an offer on all of them or one or however many if you're interested.

Now if you can find a 1975 quarter, that will be special.

I've been picking up US Silver Eagles since the late 80's here and there. A couple years ago I bought one for each of my brother's kids for Xmas. I used to get them at a coin shop for $8.95 each and now they sell around $42 from the mint. Should have bought more. I have a few Mercury dimes, some 1940-60 Nickels, but not much else. Collected the Nickels as a kid. |

Sold all my silver the last time it went high. Kept some coins that had some memories but they were stolen right out of my house. That was a while ago. Could have been the guy who did my windows or the guy who did the roof. Might have been one of the floozies I used to keep company with. What was left didn't add up to more than $5 face.

Yes. There were US quarter dollars struck in 1975 but all of them carried the date 1776-1976. Likewise, all 1976 quarter dollars also carried the 1776-1976 date. There is no way to identify the coins struck in 1975 from those struck in 1976.

If you can find a '75 quarter, it's worthless, because it's a fake.

John...the reason I know for sure was I fell for this prank when I was about twelve. I was always collecting stamps, coins (yeah, I know what you're saying...it's fishing rods now, right?), etc. And my 6th grade teacher, who was always quizzing us for little prizes and such, told us the first one to find a 1975 quarter would get a big prize.
That hilarious jerk let that go on for months. Remember, this was before Al Gore invented the internet, so I had no idea there was no such thing until he let me and my friends off the hook. We were sooooooo mad haha.

What are you looking for morgan silver dollars? or just silver heck I have a bag full over 33.9 ounces of silver coins like this? some of these on lower laft side are just olde coins not silver though. the oldest is 1884 up at the top you can see two blanks I got them in regular rolls mistakes by the mint I have a dime and a penny that are blank not worth much but neat.
Working a register for many years alowed me to collect alot of these. Some were given. |
