Gone Hunting
Well getting ready to head out this morning with my brother to meet my dad and brother-in-law in MO for some pheasant hunting, for our annual trip. Talk to you folks when I get back, catch some hawgs, shoot some deer and post some pics please

Well we had a blast, and got quite a bit of game.
9 Pheasants 5 Chuckers 4 Quail 11 rabbits We already fed on the quail and some chucker, along with some venison stew. The venison supplied from my bow kill this year. Shot a whole bunch of shells though, so my shoulder is a little sore. We have always had a good time, but this one was a really good hunt, and we got every bird we had a chance at, only 1 got away that flew well away from us, where no one even had a opportunity to shoot. The rabbit hunting was a new thing for us, but was pretty fun, and we will do it again. Hope anyone else who hunted or fished this weekend had the same "GREAT" experience we did. Lizards

I just got this email from one of our members here. I thought it was very, very good, especially since I just came back from hunting with my father and family.
WHAT A WONDERFUL FATHER/SON EXPERIENCE A father and son went hunting together for the first time. The father said: "Stay here and be very QUIET. I'll be across the field." A few minutes later the father heard a blood curdling scream and ran back to his son. "What's wrong?" the father asked. I told you to be quiet." The boy, (bless his heart), answered: "Look, I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet. I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck. I didn't move a muscle when the skunk climbed over my shoulder. I closed my eyes and held my breath when the wasp stung me. I didn't cough when I swallowed the gnat. I didn't cuss or scratch when the poison oak started itching. But, when the two chipmunks crawled up my pant legs and said, 'Should we eat them here or take them with us?' Well, I guess I just panicked."

Congrats on the hunting trip, I have put the smack down on 4 nannys and a spike buck so far, hit a hell of a 6 pointer, 18-19 inch inside spread with the muzzlelaoder, knocked him down for 3-4 minutes, he got back up, trotted off, never to be seen again. No blood or anything. I was upset, because this was a hell of a buck.
