Default Giant Smallmouth

My long time buddy and I just got back from a week of small mouth fishing and a week of getting snowed on winds that made us dock the boat, sunburn , great and tough fishing all in 7 days. I caught my new P.B. a 6.2 oz smally. But if you want to see a true giant small mouth
It is 8.45 oz!!!!! go to the Sturgeon Bay open web site, click on the facebook and scoll down to see this sow. The fellow holding it is 300lbs.
WOW is all I could say!

Yikes, that thing is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE! Congrats on the new 6.2 PB, Rick.

Here is a link to the monster to make it easier for others to find.

6.2 oz smally is a GIANT in MY BOOK!

Were you fishing Gobie Plastics deep?
SMALLIE fishing in Sturgeon Bay is what the good Lord himself would be fishing.
What FUN!

Remeber you telling about your upcoming trip and I was just wondering if it ever came about.
Sorry the weather stunk.
Thanks for the share!

Yea I agree that a 6.2 is a giant in my book, we were fishing in 7 feet or less water temperature was 42 to 48 degrees cold water
All our fish came on berkley power bait 5" tubes imatating goby's
We caught 25 over 5 lbs.
