Thanks guys. I bought a few plastic lures ready to paint. Unfortunately there was nowhere in town with acrylic paints left after the christmas rush. I may have to order some online. Any input on what colors to get for a good startup set of paints.

As to colors. Greens, blacks, browns, silver if possible. White is a must.

I use hobby paints from craft stores and usually start with a white base coat. Also, try this clear coat, it works great for me...http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/fishing...025000411.aspx

I use it on crankbaits and jig heads.
